Honma’s TW-BM Could be the Best Blade this Year!

Honma Golf TW-BM Irons Japan1

Honma Golf's new TW737 series is incredible.  TSG will be showing you the full line up starting off with what could be the Best Blade to hit the market in a while. Honma already had the TW727M blade which was a small, narrow and workable choice so a blade that offered more forgiveness and larger dimensions was great next move.

The new TW-BM in comparison with the 727M has a taller and wider face.  Professional JPGA star Hideto Tanihara asked Honma to enlarge the head of the TW717M to try an MB that was forgiving. Instead of simply enlarging the size of the head they completely redesigned the blade from the ground up using CAD to optimize the CG so that this club maintains control and great feeling at impact with a larger sweet spot.  Many more photos after the Jump!

New CGS Orion Muscle Back Irons

CGS Orion Irons and Wedges2

CGS Orion is creating quite the following in the maniac golf circles in Japan.  TSG has already introduced the CGS Orion Type-S and Type-G wedges and today we are highlighting their all new CGS Orion Blade.

What makes CGS Orion stand out is they are manufactured in two places.  In Ichikawa Himeji Japan's epicenter of hand grinding then  sent to Tsubame Sanjo which is famous for it's polishing and the company that handles the CGS Orion product has been well known for the polishing the screens of Apple's first generation Ipod's. This combination of Himeji handcrafting and Tsubame Sanjo's polishing creates a stunning effect.  Ready for more muscle back madness?  Follow the Jump...

MODART SUDA BLADES

Modart Blade Irons1

Many moons ago we posted that Suda-san of Modart Golf was producing muscle back irons in limited quantities by his own hand and here is the final result,  it's forged of S25C triple pressed then it goes through a 900* heat treatment before it's final precision forging this heat treatment and final forging press is very rare with only 2 factories in Himeji able to accomplish it.  The result is a dense and pure impact feeling that provides enough feedback around the edges to let the better player understand where contact was made on the face.  Only 100 sets will be made,  more photos and a description after the Jump...

New Honma TW-BM Blades (LIMITED EDITION)

Honma Golf TW-BM Muscle Back Blades

Honma TW-BM Limited Edition Irons - Introducing a new limited edition Honma muscle back iron coming June 17th to TourSpecGolf. Designed with specific input from JPGA Tour champion Hideo Tanihara for a more forgiving user-friendly blade design. While it looks very similar to the TW727 series muscle back's this one features a unique forged material process that Honma has labelled VPF or Variation Productive Force. This combination of a more user-friendly design and manufacturing also produces a softer more supple feel at impact.

The only shafts available will be the Vizard series I and IB models with the standard shaft being the IB-95 Stiff Flex. I have a lot of experience with these shafts as do many of TSG's Honma's customers, they improve feel at impact as they are made of carbon yet the IB models play stiff to flex even compared to steel shafts in the same weight. These shafts feature steel fibers in the tip section for improved accuracy via a stiffer tip section.

As you can see in the image below the new Honma TW-BM is slighter longer heel to toe and taller from bottom to top. The sole is also more narrow, and it does have a touch more offset. TSG will be announcing more info as it becomes available with in hand photos before release. These are limited edition and will go quickly, so we are adding these to the TSG ProShop as soon as possible.

SEVEN “REAL” PROTOTYPE MB – aka RED2

DSC09874-Edit

Prototype is a word thrown around too easily in the golf industry,  companies are labelling products prototypes that are nothing of the sort.  From Wiki : A prototype is an early sample, model, or release of a product built to test a concept or process or to act as a thing to be replicated or learned from.  Many hate to admit it but the word has at the very least peaked their interest on multiple occasions but how many of us actually have the chance to play "real" prototypes I'm talking only a few made as a brand is evolving a concept into a retail release?  My guess is not many.

Here is your chance,  this is a one of a kind set of S15C Forged hand ground 100% Japan made (of course) Seven Blades 4-AW  brand new a one of one concept.  It's special,  it's rare and its a "real prototype" click read more to continue...

SEVEN X SHINAGAWA MB

Japanese Golf Clubs

Introducing the SEVEN X SHINAGAWA Blade! This product is a 3-way collaboration design between SEVEN + SKG Shinagawa + Kitada CNC creating a sexy new muscle back iron with inspiration from the classic Macgregor golf irons.

SEVEN GOLF

We started by sourcing Japanese S15C billets to produce the blank iron head for this specific design,  then after the initial prep grind these heads were sent to Kitada CNC to have the edgy back face milled  for consistency in look and weighting perfectly placing the CG depth, height, and location in the perfect spot for each iron,  also, the Seven Logo on the back face and neck were CNC milled instead of pressed.  After Kitada-San they were sent back to Shinagawa-san for the complete grinding of the heads,  extremely limited over two years in the making we are extremely confident in the performance, feel, and quality of SEVEN's latest creation,  much more after the jump...
