New TC550 Forged 2009
Coming this September is Fourteen’s newest iron the updated version of the TC-550 Forged. The TC550 Forged was one of Japan’s top selling 2008 models mostly because it was forged with high quality S25C but also it was a midsized iron with just a little offset and a not so large appearance making it fit the slightly better than average player to the tour players who are seeking extra forgiveness and feel.
In this new version Fourteen updated the look making it a more traditional cavity back, they have also enhanced the grind around all corners of the iron for a more playeresque appearance. Another big upgrade was the new neck grind that appears to have much less offset than the 2008 model. Fourteen Golf was also able to lower the center of gravity and redistribute the weight more evenly across the club heads sole which made it more forgiving on thinner heel to toe misses when compared to the 2008 TC-550.
Now we wish Fourteen went ahead and spent the money to rename their new 2009 models TC-770 and TC-550 models because no one has noticed that they have undergone some killer updates and the launch of both new products has been overlooked while golfers simply see the same old name.
The official release date is early September but this irons is expected to sell out very quickly in Japan so TSG will be adding the Pre Order option into our ProShop in the coming week.
