J-Beam KZ-5 Driver
Many know that here at TourSpecGolf we are big fans JBEAM. If you have not heard of JBEAM they are a boutique JDM Driver head maker that produces a variety of great drivers all of which can be customized by handpicking head weights and face angles or custom lofts.
Today we will take a brief look at the JBeam KZ-5 Driver which is the brand’s first venture into carbon crowns and adjustable hosels.
It’s a big deal as Jbeam has never ventured into both carbon crowns or adjustable hosels before. The usual premise behind these types of heads is a low CG by making a lightweight carbon crown.
Total it is a 3 piece driver with the crown being made of cast Ti + carbon composite while the face is made of forged titanium. The KZ-5 has a deep 56mm face height and a working adjustable rear weight.
The shapes of Jbeam’s newest heads have been evolving and while most are deep some new curves are being introduced as you can see in the above photo. It’s hard not to fall in love with their deep face heights.
