New to TSG! JADE ADLLER Golf Clubs. The former president of RomaRo Golf Iwasaki-san has joined with one of Japan’s finest grinders Masahiro Tomaru to produce his vision of what golf equipment should be.
Jade Adller’s current product line up consists of Putters and Irons at the moment but they do want to extend their product range to wedges as well as woods designed for a wide variety of skill levels. On the other hand, Adller would also want to develop new and innovative product designs previously not seen anywhere. The main design philosophy behind Adller’s product is “balance.” Iwasaki believes a balanced look is so important in a golf club. Follow the jump for more on this…
founded in October of 2016. The CEO, Iwasaki, says the company aims to help golfers play better by providing equipment that looks, sounds and feels good to the player which supports the psychological aspect of the game. When you are comfortable and confident with your equipment, you play your best. As an equipment junkie, I totally get what he means. Iwasaki discovered and really got into golf during college. After he got out of college, he found a steady job at a company which had nothing to do with golf. After a while, it occurred to him that he wanted to get back into playing golf and make a living. He decided to quit his job and he went to California as golf apprentice. After becoming a pro and returning to Japan, he started working at Royal Collection in various capacities ( shipping and packing dept, product development, sales and marketing. ) He then had the opportunity to work at Romaro to lead their entire golf business. His objective is to create golf equipment that looks good in the bag and provide confidence in the players’ minds. Then in 2016 he decides to start his own company where he can fully utilize his knowledge and experience he has gained in golf club manufacturing but this time to design and produce golf clubs that appeal to the golfers’ minds.
Multi-Material Irons
FB-01 irons are midsize hollow construction irons with S25C soft carbon steel body and maraging steel face. While the external look is not too large and and small enough to attract lower handicap players who demand a playeresque shape, the multi-material design ensures explosive distance performance normally not expected from irons of this shape and size. FB-01 SB/GD is an Asia specific model with a glossy soft black finish with a gold badge in the cavity for a more exclusive look. FB stands for “Full Boost” named appropriately as the next generation performance irons!
As you see in the photos above and below there is a noticeable amount of offset. If this turns you off don’t worry as we will be posting their hand-ground Tomaru blades soon! For those who are looking for a somewhat compact forgiving cavity with a gooseneck, this is a worthy consideration. Having hit these myself on the course and the range I can attest they are extremely rewarding and easy to play.
Offset helps square the face up at impact for straighter shots, keep the hands forward at impact and moves the CG away from the shaft which helps the player who fights the slice. It’s a smart and valuable tool making clubs easier to hit for what can be considered the average player.
The FB-01 iron is a 2 piece structure and while it has a forged S25C body it’s face is forged maraging steel that is only 1.8mm thick. The lofts are a little strong with the PW coming in at 43*.
