RIP TourStage… Bridgestone has taken over as the global brand unifying all labels and regions as one.
While I can understand the logic and business reasoning in this move I am really wondering will the focus become more marketing based rather than material, manufacturing, and technology based?
This is the last known release by TourStage, The X-Drive GR Blue, it’s really the same as the standard GR just a limited edition model with only 1000 pieces made. It’s got blue graphics a custom blue PT-6 shaft and matching blue grip + cover.
Only produced in one loft of 9.5 and no other options.
This is the most used driver among TourStage sponsored professional golfers before the brand phased out, in fact most of the JLPGA players are still using it even with access to the latest Bridgestone gear.
It’s made mostly of 6AL-4V titanium and it’s best tech is what they call the power slit which is a softer area on the top crown torward the face that flexes and expands causing a launch effect which creates a higher more powerful launch.
Just because it says GR don’t think it’s for the mid capper, + handicap players love this club, teamed with the Tour AD PT-6 it produces a very strong trajectory, the PT-6 has a stiffer butt section and softer tip to produce higher launching less ballooning drives.
