The first thing that caught my eye about the new SYP-1 ProSpec is its shape, the neck transition is narrow and low, the head is compact and the shape is outstanding. Yes these are for the better player but that doesn’t mean mid-high handicappers should not consider them. Its all about your eye, your preferences and what performs best for the individual. And to see that beautiful neck transition Im talking about you will have to follow the jump to read more…

– UPDATE: 1st RUN SOLD OUT!
In just a few short days SEVEN will be announcing new products one of those is a very limited design made to take the place of our double milled non-conforming wedge that has been sold out for more than a year. Everything from SEVEN doesn’t last very long, not because we are some super hot and popular brand but because quality product from Japan takes time. Our factories supply us the most they can each month and we stack it until we have enough to release to the public.
The New SEVEN ST Wedge is S20 Forged in Japan with a fully CNC milled face and milled CONFORMING grooves. It replaced a very aggressively milled non conforming wedge that still to this day produced the most spin of any wedge we can find by a country mile. We are using a different manufacture for this wedge specifically for their CNC abilities, follow the Jump for more pics and info…

Titleist Vokey Forged Wedge 2017 – There are many of you waiting for the news, March 17th Titleist will release the new 2017 model forged vokey wedges. These are not your normal wedge and it’s obvious Titleist is really stepping things up. Bob Vokey designed these and upgraded the technology within the head to meet the needs of tour players in Japan. There are three center of gravity designs that depend on the loft you choose. The major difference is the CG locations vary between models. Low CG is offered in 48* thru 52* / Mid CG from 54* thru 56* and High CG 56* to 60*.
Usually you see solid 1 piece designed wedges but Titleist is going all out on with a progressive CG design using multi materials while the club looks solid with a blade like back face. The body is soft forged while the face is titanium. There is also nickel and tungsten used for the weighting. Titleist Japan is using the TX4 groove with parallel milling in between each groove. They have also killed the leading edge to help the steeper swinger although these work perfect for sliders as well. The method of manufacturing is called Forged (Co-Forged) and I am not sure what this means yet but will find out.
Available in Satin or Black PVD with lofts 48/50/52/54/56/58/60 with DG S200, NS950, Modus 120, Zelos8 and a new carbon Diamana VF shaft. Like the new 718 T-MB these wedge have increased in price as well retailing just under 300 bucks each with steel shafts. Enjoy the spec sheet below and these are already in the TSG Pro Shop for Pre-Order. First batches go quick!
The brand new Mizuno T7 wedge but this one done up by Mizuno’s very own Yoro Dept. I’m a big fan of Mizuno Japan’s MP-R5L and W series which are grind and spec specific for the steep or shallow swinger and comparing the new Japan T7 to those this one is really about versatility and in hand it reminds me of a vokey, a really soft impact vokey ;). Follow the Jump for more pics and info on this yoro crafted beauty.
Last week I posted up photos of the standard MG-S01 wedge by Miura Japan. Today I’m showing off the black boron version by TSG Club Works. This wedge is a bit oversized already so the transformation from satin to black helps reduce it’s size visually. Enjoy the photos after the Jump…
Some shots of the Itobori Vintage Copper Finish, It’s copper base finish is soft and Mayuki Takai’s vintage blue treatments adds an unique hue to your wedges. This wedge here has the Itobori grind but with the smooth sole + hairline finish option.
You can order this finish on any Itobori forged wedge or iron, from the cavity back to the blade. Follow the jump for more photos…
Miura MG-S01 Wedge – Miura Japan not to be confused with Miura Global has released their newest model of wedge. The MG-S01 which is what I would classify as a semi game improvement wedge due to it’s extra size, width, and shape.
It is made of FE Iron 99.3% something we saw back years ago with TourStage Maru Limited wedges. Follow the Jump to read more impressions and to view our pictures…
