This is the first adjustable driver from Cobra and Acushnet the parent company of Titleist Golf. This November Cobra Golf will be releasing it with a unique variable face angle system.
It’s called (AFT) ” Face Angle Technology ” it’s pretty simple when compared to Taylormade or Nike’s system yet the latest and potentially the most straight forward of them all. The key to AFT is in the tip piece that is attached to the companies proprietary Hosel piece where you can select N for neutral and depending on if you twist it clockwise or counterclockwise by120* you can get it to the O = Open angle and C = Closed.
When set to O the club has a maximum of 1* open while what i find strange is the N still gives an actual face angle of 0.5* closed which to many goflers who play a draw is not as neutral as they would like. In the C position it can be closed down up to 2*.
The standard Japanese specifications are 46″ long with a Graphite Design AD Tour made by Cobra Japan. Available in 9.5, 10.5, and 11.5 degrees this model has also been included in pro players contracts for the coming season.
Isn’t the L5V adjustable?
Yes it is, I stand corrected!
