Taylormade R9 Super Tri?
Taylormade is at it again with another release coming early 2010 sources report. GolfWRX was first to break the story about the new R9 Super Tri Driver while our Japanese sources first reported the 2010 updated Taylormade Burner driver along with the Japan release Taylormade R9 TP Forged Irons which should show face sometime early 2010.
The Super Tri R9 has the same material make up as the current R9 460, it features a black finish and 3 weight ports total. For now prototype images may or not be legit, we found one image here of what appears to be the R9 460 MAX in black while yet we are told that the new R9 Super Tri driver will sport the Super Tri logo on it’s sole. Japan has already released it’s own Taylormade products like the R9 Type E, Burner Forged Irons, & several new putters. Now it’s North America’s turn to show us the new goodies.
From the looks of things it looks like these could be the next product releases from Taylormade:
– R9 Super Tri Driver
– 2010 Burner Driver Update
– Taylormade R9 TP Forged Irons ( Japan Only )
– Taylormade Black Itsy Bitsy Spider ( Japan Only )
We will keep you posted as new information comes to light…
comment on Golf.com about how Taylormade and other big manufacturers are glutting the market and overwhelming consumers to the detriment of the industry…food for thought at least.
I have my finger on the button to pick up a set of the Forged R9 Tp’s. As I mentioned before it will be the first set of TM irons I have owned in several years. I think the folks they buy/bought the US R9 TP’s are going to wish they had waited for these instead.
The Black Itsy Bitsy Spider is actually already available for order in Japan. We have it in the pro shop here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Taylormade-Japan-Black-Itsy-Bitsy-Spider-Double-Bend
It is available in both double bend and center shaft. A Black Balero was also released.
another cosmetic re-work or genuine innovation? Whatever, must be hard keeping up ……. TM left me with the 510TP, now that was a good club.
I noticed that all your products are for right handed only. There is no single left handed clubs. There are so many left handed players looking into buy clubs but your website turn me down and all left handed players. Please consider and add order format for left handed players.
Hi Kevin, if you look carefully there is in fact a left handed category in the pro shop here however products are limited. The reason why is because are NOT a lot of left handed players in Japan, less than 3% of golfers in Japan are left handed (more like 2%) so Japanese manufacturers simply do not produce much left handed gear.

But there are still some products to choose from including items not in the pro shop like the Legacy Aero driver and R9 MAX Type E driver and the PRGR GN502 Driver, they are all available left handed too! If you need help finding any left handed gear just drop me an email.
The real question is will it be an improvement onthe previous models performance? I do not see how they can improve that much by adding 3 weights to an already outstanding club.
TM must be the prolific golf designing, marketing company ever. They must sit around and brainstorm ideas and fashion a release/marketing plan years in advance. I bet they have 10 years of innovation backlogged while others have 2 years or so.
There is one on Ebay
Hey guys just letting you know that i just demoed the r9 super tri and i loved it! I purchased it right away and can’t wait to test it out on the courses once spring rolls around
Received this in the 9.5 xstiff and absolutely love every aspect of this club. There are so many different combinations, you can taylor it to give you any outcome possible. The only problem that I have found is duplicating my swing consistently to take full advantage of this clubs capabilities. Awesome buy.
