Scotty’s Add’s Pink!
The Scotty Cameron Custom Shop has been a popular option for Scotty owners to get their pride and joy refurbished and updated looking better than it originally did.
Just a few days ago The Scotty Custom Shop released some new Pink options for the ladies or a very confident man.
I think pink looks great on putters, especially in a black finish but if your not interested in pink dont worry there are a ton of custom options for you to choose from. You can stamp your initials or select one of Scotty’s custom shop logos, apply a bunch of paintfill options, add sight dots, lines, and new accessories. If your simply interested in making your putter stand out or restoring an old favorite to better than new condition it’s a program well worth the wait.
The Steps…
The process is quite simple you visit the online web form at Scotty’s Custom Shop to view examples and discriptions of each unique option. Some of my favorites include adding logo’s into a cherry dot combined with a translucent paint fill for added effect like the below image, or the addition and subtraction of site dot’s and lines combined with matching paint fill, grip, shaft band, and head cover.
Restoration costs 145.00 for the original finish or 195.00 for Teryllium. they take out much of the ding’s and dents of course within reason yet keep in mind they are unable to apply the Pro Platinum finish to any stainless steel model like the Studio Style, SSS, and GSS putters. Restoration also includes a new original shaft. If your putter is still in great shape or near new you can select no restoration at no cost.
Personalize
You do have the option to add your initials or name in full caps onto the heel or toe bumpers at 30.00 an end. You get up to 5 letters on each bumper and also have the ability to separate your initials with periods. Most people opt for their first name on the heel and the last on the toe these are all stamped not engraved or milled. Your Dot and Line options all you to remove a dot, add a dot, add one or two sight lines on the top line or add 1,2, or 3 on the flange for enhanced visual aid upon your preference.
Grips & Gear…
Besides the new fancy finish, stamping and paintfill the grip, shaft band, and head cover make a big difference visually. Some golfers want to match their favorite college team while others are gunning for an overal matching personal style. The Scotty Custom Shop offers a large variety of grips in almost every color and texture.
Very catchy blog post guys, I would send my cameron putter in but the restoration would cost more than i paid for it in the first place.
I’m cool with pink on Teflon black. Anyone remember the Piggy Chan GD putter? How about the My Girl, soft black + pink and white really kills.
