The PRGR GN502 Tour Driver is now officially in play on the PGA Tour by the popular golfer Azuma Yano. PRGR also known as Pro Gear in Japan has focused on new models that produce easier to hit shots for the advanced player.
The GN502 that Yano is now playing is an orthodox 440cc head with a new center of gravity design It’s got a simplistic and sophisticated look that gives the athlete peace of mind at setup. The new center of gravity design allows this new model to provide reasonable grab to manipulate the spin rates. In addition the structure of the uneven face thickness creates MAX deflection and proves to provide best results for players with a slightly faster than average swing tempo.
On a side note Yano has put the GN502 Tour Forged Iron into play as well. It’s a S20C forged cavity back that features a compact players profile with loads of forgiveness by design by having the topline dilute the cavity so it appears like a players CB from above but in the cavity it contains lots of forgiveness. In my opinion this is PRGR’s theme this year, hide the forgiveness for the better player…:)
Tomorrow I will go over the other new clubs in his bag like the new Silver Blade II putter and the new TR wedge just released we can also take a look into the new TR Spin Ball and how PRGR has really paid attention to feel at impact this year. Stay tuned Pro Gear Fan’s more to come shortly!
