Gold’s Factory has made a few limited name plates and ball markers for customers outside of Japan who want to show their support the victims of the quake and tsunami in Japan. A lightweight but thick ball marker made from aluminum and spun on the lathe and cut to circular perfection features the translucent Red Sun and the engraved words PRAY FOR JAPAN. The rectangular name plate is heavy GSS steel (JIS SUS303) and features a silohuette of Japan and the translucent red G Mark with the words PLAY GOLF FOR JAPAN.
The name plate is finished in a flat grey and customers’ names are engraved on the back of the plate. Gold’s Factory is engrave on the back of the ball marker. I thought these were a couple of nice hand made pieces to have and even though these are for customers outside of Japan to show support for those in Japan, I got a set anyway (I’m in Japan). The set is 185.00 + 15.00 shipping. Its not cheap by any means and a lot of that goes towards the labor involved in making each piece with the rest hopefully helping someone in need.
If interested be sure to contact us or look for the set in the pro shop in coming days!
