If you’re reading this right now, you can tune into a live press conference that’s going on on PGATour.com in which Phil Mickelson is discussing the emotional rollercoaster that has been the last 3 weeks, and the even more emotional decision to return to the PGA Tour. As you may know, he played a practice round at Bethpage Black yesterday and once again proved why he’s known as the People’s Champion.
The People’s Champ To Return
One thing Phil has always been good at is interacting and engaging his fans and that is exactly what he did yesterday during his practice round at Bethpage. He shook hands, talked with and interacted with over three dozen fans as he went through the motions of his practice round at Bethpage and today, he’s interacting with us again at his ongoing press conference in which he’s describing exactly how difficult the past few weeks have been. More than that, he’s talking about how difficult the weeks to come will be as his wife Amy readies herself for her ongoing battle against cancer.
