I was invited to ONOFF’s 2012 product launch today in Aoyama and took the chance to check out the new 2012 collections. The launch included all the new 2012 model clubs as well as bags, accessories and clothing. ONOFF staff members were out in full force to host retail accounts from all over Japan as well as a few overseas attendees. It’s always great to not only get out and see new products but also meet with many of the people who work for the brands. The truth is that a brand is only as good as the people behind it.
ONOFF has always had a very fashionable image to go along with some of the best performing clubs in golf and the new collections are no exception. While I can’t officially show the new products yet, I have to say they look better than ever. Stylish looks matched with top notch designs and technology create demand and that’s what the new ONOFF Collections look to do. Brand new Type -S and Type-D drivers, Fairway Woods and Utilities as well as a new ONOFF iron were showcased in beautiful looking 2012 ONOFF Tour bags.
Besides good looks, reading through all the new product literature revealed that the new 2012 model ONOFF clubs are packed with design and technology improvements to create better feel and performance. ONOFF’s philosophy and slogans has always been about making golf more fun and easy to play. Happy golf equals a happy life and peace of mind! After seeing the new models today I can’t wait to try them out and I’m already craving a new ONOFF caddy bag. Also it looks like ONOFF has more clothing than ever for 2012 and the quality, design and colors look fantastic.
One of ONOFF’s new slogans is “Tough times don’t last, tough people do.” As I mentioned earlier brands are only as good as the people behind them and it was a pleasure to put a face to the names of many of the people behind ONOFF. The golf club business is very competitive and each brand certainly must survive the tough times and churn out new designs and increased performance for masses of demanding consumers. Their new 2012 lineup looks to be their best collection yet.
Special thanks to Ji Park from ONOFF USA and Yuki Kawano from ONOFF Japan’s Overseas Sales section for putting up with me and my inquiries and playing host to me for a couple of hours today. While I could not take pictures of the new clubs, we did snap a picture with Ji, myself and Yuki below!
Will they be releasing a new caddy/cart bag similar to the older version that you’re using?
Looking for a bag that is functional & that I don’t need to squish to fit onto the carts over here.
Tario, I hope you enjoyed the event. Thanks for coming to see the new line. I am looking forward to seeing it myself.
Aloha,
Mike
Any chance there is a compact blade in that lineup?
Would love to see the irons…. T, you’re looking mighty dapper. :)
Marc their new staff bag is amazing looking. It is not overly huge but very very stylish. they have unfortunately done away with that very cool tube like tour bag with all the pockets. Those were the best.
Thanks Mike for thinking of me, wish you could have come.
So when are these things goin to be available to see and purchase ??????
As we get closer to the December launch date we’ll have demos in for testing and they will be available for order.
Thanks.
When will you have dance with dragon 2012 collection of caddie bags for women for us to view and purchase? Please advise
I have recently purchase the new 2012 ONOFF Fairway Wings 21″.. Later I realised it has a 1′ closed face.. I hit the ball straight most of the time and dont have a slice problem.. I usually hit a draw ball too..
NOW, with the closed face of the OnOff Hybrid, I am hitting balls which DRAW too much to the left..
PLEASE tell me how to correct it and hit STRAIGHTER balls with the Wings Type-D ..
THANK YOU ….
