Tourstage held a press conference today to announce the all new GR lineup. The GR lineup fits right between the X Series and ViQ and is aimed at the low to mid handicap player (the X Series is aimed at pro to low handicap while the ViQ is aimed at mid to high handicap). The all new GR line has been completely redesigned to offer more forgiveness and more performance thanks to new technologies and materials. The GR driver now features a full hybrid cup face with cnc milled variable thickness and a shallower longer head with new 3-2.5Titanium. The sole features a combination titanium with stainless screws to bring the CG lower and increase MOI.
The new GR line will also feature all new fairway woods and for the first time, a GR utility. Two new irons will be introduced, a standard GR Iron with undercut cavity and a one piece GR Forged iron featuring multi grind sole. I’ll be introducing each model on the blog and their new designs and features more in depth as I receive the demos from Bridgestone.
Interesting they have 2 types of irons for the GR series. I’m guessing that’s a MB and CB? Or is one forged and the other cast?
