CGS Orion is creating quite the following in the maniac golf circles in Japan. TSG has already introduced the CGS Orion Type-S and Type-G wedges and today we are highlighting their all new CGS Orion Blade.
What makes CGS Orion stand out is they are manufactured in two places. In Ichikawa Himeji Japan’s epicenter of hand grinding then sent to Tsubame Sanjo which is famous for it’s polishing and the company that handles the CGS Orion product has been well known for the polishing the screens of Apple’s first generation Ipod’s. This combination of Himeji handcrafting and Tsubame Sanjo’s polishing creates a stunning effect. Ready for more muscle back madness? Follow the Jump…
The CGS Orion iron is available in 2 different finishes, today we are only showing off the copper nickel, we will highlight the S-Black next week.
As you can see from the photos below it’s shape at address is beautiful with its high sharp toe just outside of the grooves edge.
These are forged of soft S20C and combined with the CP Silver (copper under nickel chromium) the feel at impact I’m told is amongst the very best from Japan.
This blade is designed to flow well with the CGS Type-S & G wedges. Our July shipment sold our quickly now we are accepting reservations for this next September shipment.
Available as a base set of 5-PW with optional #3 & #4 irons TSG is offering these heads only or custom shafted and built to your wishes. CGS claims a very tight tolerance at +/- 0.5* on the loft and lie angles as well as +/- 2g on the head weight. Thanks for reading and get in touch if your ready to go to blade heaven.
Looks like the basic Kyoei stuff with this company’s badging. Nothing special here. Move on.
it’s not forged or ground by Kyoei, It’s got a CNC where Kyoei blades do not, and the polishing is from Tsubame Sanjo.
