Newly updated Fourteen TC-550 Forged Irons have been released in Japan for the 2009/2010 model year. The previous model which was also named TC-550 is similar but many updates have been made to the design which we believe are a major improvement over the last.
This years TC-550 features a more playeresque design with a face profile that appears sharper with less bulky areas as well as a thinner topline and more compact due to the shorter heel to toe length. We also believe the sole is thinner with a nice transition into a rounded leading edge.
The overall shape and design is still geared toward the mid handicapper seeking an ultra good feeling soft forged S25c forged feel all the way to the pro golfer plus handicap type.
Fourteen Golf claims the new TC-550 has the lowest CG allowable by the USGA and that they have improved playability and workability. The TC-550 complies with the new V groove rule regulations effective in 2010 for professional tours and 2014 for amatuer tours and tournaments.
