Is this Mizunos Next Release?

It looks to be another exciting year for Mizuno Golf  and thanks to member bloodredsun at golfwrx for taking spy pics of what appears to be a replacement Mizuno Iron for the MP-67 and an black nickel version of the MP-62.  The prototype blade looks to be a cross between the ever popular Mizuno TN-87 & the MP-37 Irons yet nothing can be confirmed as of yet. The only stamping found on the club head is PROTOTYPE.

Custom Japan or U.S release?

From the images there could be a subtle type of cut muscle effect on it to improve forgiveness but not the same cut muscle the MP-67  features. We are not sure if these prototypes were made for a picky player by using Mizuno Japan’s Custom Center as found on TourSpecGolf or if it is a test sample for what we will see in the future.  At first look the MP-62’s in Black Nickel finish appear to be the same ones you can order from TSG  Custom Mizuno dept with one of their finish options but the new blade is something we have never seen before.
