And here we have it the new beautiful Miura Giken CB-1008 Irons only available by Miura Giken Japan (not Miura Canada). A refresher for those new to Miura golf clubs, Miura Giken is the actual company in Japan that owns the factory that produces all Miura Clubs, Miura North America based out of Canada is a separate company that distributes the global models they are all still made at the Japan Factory just dated without many of the options available, they would rather you not see the new CB-1008 or anything from Miura Giken.
TourSpecGolf on the other hand wants you to see these, they are beautiful players cavity back irons that finally Miura has given somewhat minimal stamping. Follow the Jump for more photos…
One thing Miura has always been great at is shapes, I like how the toe peaks past the score lines and they have mastered the blade like appearance of the players cavity back.
Miura Giken has quite a few custom options available from finishes to custom grinds and head weights by special order thru TSG all made to order with excellent attention to detail.
Above a head on photo of the Miura CB-1008 Irons it’s near perfection and if this is not your flavor TSG can custom order you one of more than 6 different face profile configurations custom hand ground by Miura Giken.
This photo shows how razor thin these are, as thin or thinner than other brands muscle back irons, only thicker really than a few muscle back irons. Miura Giken is known to produce butter knife thin blades and CB’s.
They do an outstanding job of polishing their clubs after they have been finished, they use a small golf finish dedicated factory in Ichikawa for their Satin & Chrome Mirror finishes these finishes are soft and the factory that does them only does golf clubs with Miura as their most important customer. After Miura Giken get’s the clubs they inspect them with a close eye and polish them once again to perfection.
The CB-1008 is Forged and made 100% in Japan, W.D.D accurate forged is one of their final presses that Miura claims improves the molecular structure of the metal itself if its really an improvement I can’t tell but one thing is for sure it is accurate, because of spin welded hosel they are able to have the some of the tightest tolerances in golf.
The Miura CB-1008 is available in the TSG Proshop, Click Here they run 899 for the base set 5-PW heads only with optional #3 and #4 irons. to inquire about a custom grind or finish set please email us directly at [email protected].
Miura Japan always has the best CBs. This one and the CB-2007 nothing beats them in the looks department. But the cavity on this one looks like it’ll have a better feel. How does this one compare to the CB2007 or CB1007 in performance/feel?
Stunning club. Looks like it is made of a higher quality than the PP9005G and the Miura USA clubs. Hands down this is the best one.
