In Japan, Christmas is not as big an event as New Year’s Day is. It is not considered a holiday as less than 1% of the population are Christian but many Japanese do embrace the idea and and festive atmosphere of Christmas regardless of their religious background. They do celebrate it as a reason to have parties, family gatherings and yes do lots and lots of shopping as they love to do here in Japan.
New Year in Japan is a national holiday and considered a festival in itself. The holiday is perhaps the largest family even in Japan where the Japanese usher in the new year with gatherings the night before where many watch the traditional Red and White singing festival on TV, eat all kinds of festive foods, and visit shrines all around the country to wish for the best for themselves and their families.
On behalf of the crew at TSG I wanted to wish all our readers, loyal customers around the world, and anyone who appreciates and loves the game of golf and all the wonderful gear that comes with it, a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. All the best to you and your family. May the new year bring hapiness and good health for everyone. May we all lower our handicap, be rid of slices, hooks and 3 putts and enjoy this wonderful game like we never have before.
Thank you all for being a part of Golf to Impress whether it be simply reading our blog or being a member on our forum or a loyal patron in our pro shop.
