The 2016 Royal Collection V7 Series has been revealed at the Japan Golf Fair, the new RC product looks pretty good at first glance I’m not sure how it plays but I’m sure one day soon I will run into these at a range or on the course.
Full Specs are not listed on the website yet, TSG is waiting for RC to update us on materials and other info but for now let the pics do the talking after the Jump…
The RC V7 Driver looked to be for a low to mid capper the face while somewhat deep had a longer heel to toe length and appears to be 460cc’s
Even the RC V7 fairway wood looks to be more mid capper than compact players wood the first clue was that it’s a Titanium head which usually means lighter weight and more distance focused the head size was a bit more rounded and slightly larger than most RC woods in the past it seems to be a good blend of forgiveness and size, it’s small compared to many Titanium fairway woods.
Here is something we don’t see most brands do is create a Titanium head utility club I’m going to need to try this one to see how it compared to stainless hybrids in terms of both distance and forgiveness, again this head was not too large and very attractive at address.
The new 2016 RC S.S Forged wedge looked very good especially at address and with it’s raw grain satin finish, I’m not sure yet but S.S may mean stainless forged which would be a sign of RC pushing the envelope very much like the use of titanium in the utility wood. I will keep you posted on this one but it has a pronounced toe grind relif a little on the heel side and even on the higher lofts the trailing edge was not so large meaning it should sit well on the ground but maybe isn’t the easiest to open the face.
hopefully this was a prototype because the milling didn’t look so clean nice design just a little gudga gudga if ya know what i mean.
The new DB Forged MT was a creative design, plenty of CNC work done on it and MT perhaps Tomaru-san of Grind Studio helped out with this one.
This one at address was gorgeous, I liked everything about it.
TSG will be following up with more info on the V7 series and the new wedges shortly as more info comes available, hope you enjoyed our photos!
raw wedge copy yururi one
This brand always has woods that does NOT disappoint. But that raw wedge looks great too. @phet I agree it looks like the Yururi.
