Mitsubishi Rayon was at the 2016 Japan Golf Fair this year with a stacked line up they were touting their latest release the Grand Bassara aggressively which highlights the future of light weight shaft technology, Mitsubishi has released 2 versions the Grand Bassara G29 and G39 and the weights are some of the lightest in golf bar none, follow the Jump to read about Mitsubishi’s awesome line up of new shafts…
So not for all but it’s a triumph in shaft tech years ago a stable 32 gram shaft was just a pipe dream, 3 years ago TSG first saw the prototypes of these shafts on display and now they are final for the public, the Grand Bassara G29/G39 are available in 3 flexes each Lite, Regular, Stiff yes a stiff 30 gram range shaft. Made with a new material called MR70 high modulus carbon this shaft is not only light but has some of the tightest tolerances of any shaft +/- 1 g in weight and +/- 1g in cpm’s.
Expect this shaft to be geared to the smoother, slower swinger looking for an ultra light weight, long length high launching yet stable shaft. Senior players and ladies take note.
The graphics are stunning, Mitsubishi used black lights to lighten and glow the shafts up.
Below is the shaft I appreciate the most, it’s the OT105 rounding up the line up of OT series shafts now available in 75/85/95/105 gram options, these shafts are smooth, they fly straight with a mid/high trajectory and they simply feel amazing I’m a bif fan of the 95g version especially in muscle backs as they somehow make them feel even softer and more buttery pure yet add extra needed distance as well. I can’t stress enough how awesome the OT series shafts are, if your using NSPro 950 or give these a try and prepare to be wowed. Available shaft only in the TSG ProShop or in many of our custom builds.
They had the Rouge 110 MSI’s and all the KuroKage Shafts on display as well and finally the announcement of the FRANKI series which is a top grade Junior shaft option, Not often if ever have there been really good aftermarket shaft options for kids and Mitsubishi is on the cusp of releasing the Franki in late 2016 hopefully.
30 gram shaft sounds great. I hurt my shoulder last summer and my 55 gram shaft has putting strain on it. I hope this works as my last hope before surgery.
This light shaft sounds great. My current driver shaft at 50 grams feels to heavy for me. So this would be perfect. I do not see it in the website shop. Maybe I missed it. Could you send me a link? Thanks, Amanda
Hi Amanda,
Yes, these are nice, light and great for ladies and seniors. We have not added it yet but will do so this week.
Thanks, Chris
