TourSpecGolf believe it or not has a large following of Katana users, these are mostly customers from S.E Asia and not part of the core following of english speaking forum users, Katana has been at just about every Japan Golf Fair in the last decade + and this year feature an all new 2016 Katana Voltio IV Series in multiple iterations, the best looking imo is the Voltio IV Hi Speeder Black Series but we have photos of the full line up after the Jump…
Katana Voltio IV Hi Speeder Black is a forgiving game improvement driver with the slower swinger as the target player, it comes with a 36g -40g fujikura Speeder 360 shaft specially designed for it. 460cc’s with a standard closed club face lofts range from 9* up to 11* with standard lengths of 46″
The lighting was pretty bad but both the driver and fairway woods look really cool in hand away from the glare. Above the oversized Katana Voltio IV FW Speeder Black made of stainless steel designed around a high launch with plenty of forgiveness.
When you see anything that says Katana Voltio IV “G” Series it usually has offset in the woods this helps the player square things up at impact even better very anti slice.
Deep face square looking UT the Voltio IV G Series Speeder Black UT also has offset, it’s an oversized UT wood with a deep face yet it’s very easy to get airborne. the new Voltio IV version is much more squared with more of a gooseneck.
Anything Black co labelled Speeder Black has the light weight Fujikura 360 on it, the Gold headed drivers have the co labelled light weight Tour AD shafts by graphite design on it.
The Voltio IV G Series Speeder Silver irons are very wide game improvement irons. #6/7/8 are almost wood like while #9/PW/AW/SW have an open cavity design with a more narrow sole.
The Gold version heads are the Tour AD shafted version while the silver are shafted with the Fujikura Speeder 360.
Below the Voltio IV Model S iron for the better player forged of S25C with a thin topline and somewhat minimal offset, standard shaft is still carbon in the 50’s range the Speeder 550 by fujikura.
Below the Voltio IV Iron Speeder Silver it’s fully stainless steel like many hybrid woods are now days, this too has the Speeder 550 shaft.
Finally the Voltio IV Speeder Silver Wedge with it’s CNC face It’s 8620 cast and designed for the better player available in 52/56* lofts.
Nice clubs
A bit to golden for my taste…
I actually like the black with maroon finish on the woods. And the IV series looks good. But I think these are above my budget.
