Well it was a fun 2 days at the Golf Fair and I’m already back home in Kiminomori. It’s always great to have Tourspecgolfer and Tourspecgirl fly in every year and have us cover the show together. We also had the pleasure of having our golf pro Tatsuro join us for video club testing this year so get ready to check out his videos made by Tourspecgolfer. I’ve gone to the golf fair with a different camera every year now, and this year I even brought 2, my Nikon D5100 and a trusty old Panasonic GF1. Shooting at the golf fair is always a challenge with very difficult lighting which varies from booth too booth creating huge consistency problems when photographing. Especially when golf clubs are usually very shiny and don’t take well to bright spotlights. With hundreds of pictures to take, there is no time to sit there and fine tune a cameras settings for the optimal shot. Its pretty much shoot now and edit later.
I ended up with over 1700+ photos over a 2 day period and to my surprise I had issues importing the over 27gb of raw files onto my desktop when I got home. Needless to say I was frightened I would lose them all and end up back at the show tomorrow for an emergency shoot. Luckily they are now downloading on to my computer just in time for me to give a few highlights of day 2. Tomorrow we will start loading up the brand galleries in the forum and you’ll start seeing videos from Tourspecgolfer here as well soon (they take quite the while to edit).
