Formerly known as George Spirits a complete rebranding has occurred, introducing REONESS. In no way affiliated with George of George Spirits but rather a man named Kan who had worked for him many years ago under the company Gauge Design Japan. Without going too deep Gauge Design Japan has had so many former staff start their own brands including Gauge Design (USA), Gold’s Factory, and now REONESS.
REONESS is no longer affiliated with George Takai and Kan with the help of former Bridgestone Tour staff has restructured, re-designed, and re-released an entirely new company. Today we are going to start with photos of the driver. Follow the Jump for more…
In Japan this driver has already received a lot of press, TSG is actually a bit late to the party on this one. The buzz is that former TourStage guys worked on it, not sure exactly what that means but it can’t be bad news. Starting with the photo above the shape is beautiful it’s nice and deep with laser mill marks on the face.
Known as a players driver the design is based on a straight, high and low spin trajectory. They have some very cool materials used the body is 811 Titanium the face is SAT2041 you don’t see these materials used very often. I know the person who helped develop 811 Ti. This material is tops in my book.
Another cool thing about the REONESS R0-101 is that the center of gravity and head volume is different for each of the two lofts. This isn’t something you see very much, it takes a lot of extra work and imo things done the right way. Available in 2 versions conforming and Hi-Cor the lofts sold are 9* and 10* in conforming and 10.5 in non conforming. all specs are different as if these are 3 entirely different drivers that have similar aesthetics and design theories.
Shape from above, again is very TourStage! The shaft options are pretty unique as well, on top of the 60g REONESS original shaft they are one of the few that offer a LOOP CL upgrade shaft. They also have a Next Golf T-60. These are all shafts that have a hardcore cult following which is another sign Kan and the boys at REONESS know what they are doing.
Check out REONESS in the TSG ProShop, We will be covering more of their products in the coming weeks!
