Honma has officially launched the Perfect Switch driver and TSG has the new drivers for order in the pro shop. The English Honma site only shows the Perfect Switch 460 so it looks like only Japan will get both the 460 and 440 versions.
I won’t repeat all the features of the Perfect Switch since you can read what I wrote when I first announced the club here. I will however note the key feature which is a forged cup face along with adjustable specs WITHOUT rotating the shaft. ike FCT from Taylormade, the Perfect Switch can be adjusted for face angle, loft and lie. There are Eight different positions the system can be set in not unlike TM’s FCT system. The key difference here is the Perfect switch makes the adjustments from the heel of the driver rather than rotating the sleeve and shaft like FCT. So using the supplied Wrench PLUS Socket, you can make any adjustments WITHOUT rotating the shaft hence the name Non-Rotating System. Honma believes this optimizes performance of the shaft by ensuring the shaft always stays in it’s optimal position which is with the shaft’s spine properly aligned no matter what setting is chosen on the driver.
Honma has also released a new promotional video which I’ve posted below along with the original video showing spec adjustment.
The new promotional video is here:

Very interesting that they found a way have an adjustable bias that does not affect the spinal alignment of the shaft. Very good.
Has anyone tried this? I”m a honma fan, but wondering if this new shaft tech undermines the integrity of the performance and feel.
Your MessageGot mine a couple of weeks ago–love it–still playing around with adjustments, but seems the CL ssetting at 3 o’clock working best. Easy to make adjustments–only negative is cover which is ugly and the pouch for the tool not very secure—people will be losing them due to bad design—overall however a step up in performance from my old Beres driver.
