There has been a strong push to get Golf into the 2016 Olympics. Now players and fans alike are speaking out and contacting various nations olympic commitiees to make this happen. In this video produced by the PGA Tour of America they feature comments by some of the worlds top players voiceing their opinion on Golf Being in the Olympics for the 2016 event.

Why 2016 and not 2012?

I think 3 years is enough to organize such an event in london, we need not wait another 4 years later to do it as the PGA Tour itself will help promote and setup the event.  This could be a history changing event for our beloved sport and something any professional player would be proud to participate in representing their nation in front of the worlds eye’s.  By having golf in the Olympics it would expand the sport and bring it into the spotlight especially in countries that are not as developed in the USA.  Hey if live pigeon shooting and curling can be in the Olympics golf better get in there some day some how.

 
This could be the big Major above all other  events. To lend a helping hand in getting golf accepted into the 2012 games in London or the 2016 games please contact the International Olympic Commitee and tell them whats on your mind!
