I’ve posted previously about Tourstage Pro Chie Arimura on the blog here. One post about what’s in her bag and another about her detailed course note taking. Chie, 21 years of age and now in her third year on the Japan Ladies tour is still coming into her own as a player with 2009 being quite a breakthrough season so far with 3 wins on tour and number 3 on the money list. Chie is becoming more and more of a recognizable face in Japan, dubbed the idol golfer because of her cute face and cherry personality as well as her always very fashionable Viva Heart attire. Looks and image aside, her game has done the talking. As I mentioned before she is by no means a power player but has one of the nicest swings on tour. While many of the top ladies pros in Japan play up to stiff flex in their clubs, Chie still sticks with light weight R Flex Rombax X shafts and light weight Nippon NS Pro 750GH R flex in her Forged Tourstage GR C-1 irons.
Here are some videos from GDO with closer looks at Chie’s swing in slow motion.
