Many who visit TSG notice we are strong supporters of the putter company known as BENOCK and it’s owner, founder, and designer, Jun Okuda. He is without a doubt the best and most capable putter manufacture on the face of the planet. A strong statement but one I am certain of.
Jun Okuda’s background was in producing metal molds used in the cell phone industry. The attention it took and microscopic details is what ultimately would hone his eye for putters. The manufacturing tolerance in the cell phone industry is and was levels above anything used to manufacture a putter. After 10 years in the metal mold business, Okuda-san starts developing putters by applying his advanced milling techniques, enter BENOCK in 2011.
Today we are highlighting their line up for 2020.
BENOCK BULLET
Have a look at this mallet. It’s unlike any on the market today. How hard is that to do in golf during an era when everything has been done over and over again. Check out this gorgeous stubby tapered neck, who does this? This putter is perfectly balanced. 36* toe hang, ideal CG height and depth. Just unreal. The amount of careful execution and programming that Okuda-san puts into his putters is simple on another level.

BENOCK SHURI
Again another unique and amazing design. I don’t think people understand what they are see’ing here. These are evolutions of the original anser but far evolved with details so unassuming the casual player’s eye doesn’t see what the maniacal enthusiast would. The Shuri putter has a neck location, height and forward tilt angle that makes putting with it so much fun. At address, the neck location frames the ball differently and the round edges flow.

BENOCK MM
C’mon, look at this. He doesn’t get silly with the MOI and back weighting or a half dozen piece made of plastic and aluminum. Okuda-san can create forgiveness using one chuck of milled Japanese steel. This is the MM and its dimensions on one side is thicker and taller than the other to accommodate this long and beautiful swan neck. This isn’t only about looks, he nails the center of gravity every time putting it exactly where he wants it. To make it crazier none of these edges or any of the edges on any of his putters are rounded by hand polishing, his DMG Mori Seiko 5-Axis milling machines powered by NSTool perfectly mill each edge to the exact and most precision curvature in the golf industry bar none.

BENOCK CC
It seems familiar but at the same time, it isn’t. This center shaft putter has a balance angle of 12* and is perfectly symmetrical. Hit center and there virtually no head twist at impact with the ball. This photo is one that is polished and it is also a stunner in matte bead blast. I personally own a CC and it is the best center shafted putter I have gamed.

BENOCK PANALEONE II
And then there is the Panteleone II. There are 4 major design changes between the Panta 1 vs Panta 2. The first is the newest version has a 5mm shorter body length giving it a more compact presence. The second is they curved the top blade edges to make it look softer and more gentle to the eye. The third is they beveled the toe area to improve the look of the high toe shape and finally the swan neck has a slightly different position to ensure the optimal CG locations. That is it in a nutshell
There are two neck options the swan neck as seen in this post and a short bend neck. Both are sexy and too difficult to choose between. On top of that then you can work with me to have some of the most intense custom options in golf with nearly any adjustment possible from aesthetics to specs and even shape or neck. Custom options are a possibility as well if you have specific ideas. No putter brand offers this type of flexibility for the customer done so well.
I love the Pantaleone I and II because of the way it looks from all angles It’s the coolest putter I’ve laid eyes on. I enjoy it’s thinking and precise top blade and I especially appreciate the quality, fit and finish of any Benock putter.

BENOCK MAGO
A new spin on a classic design. people love the high toe right now and this Mago shows a subtle sharp rise at the toe. Like the SHURI putter, the MAGO has a forward placed neck that this time is angled. At address, the Mago is sharp, edgy and focus inspiring.

Ok to wrap this up, Benock not only has these model, but they also have countless designs which can all be altered via programming. Few PGA Tour players get the CAD re-programmed for their exact wishes, but BENOCK allows a service so unique and detailed with so many capabilities it is mind-boggling. This type of product is only for the hardcore.
