You are looking at the new A-Grind BX-I Iron. This is the larger more forgiving undercut BX series model when compared to the smaller more compact BXI-PRO we posted some time ago. The new BX-I Forged is made using an S20C body along with a L cup 455 stainless steel face for more distance. Follow the jump for more pictures and info…
Reminiscent of the early generation royal collection irons as those too where designed by Ako-san owner and designer of A-Grind and previous longtime designer for nearly all of the royal collection and sonartec equipment. This man is a design Guru and building upon one of his most successful designs by improving it’s shape this iron is likely to appeal to a wide segment of player.
The offset is very minimal while the top line has just a touch more size to it. I would consider this a semi players CB. It isn’t very long heel to toe so it will set up nice and compact to the eye.
The BX-I Pro version is smaller and does not feature the L cup stainless 455 face. Also, the Pro version has weaker lofts whereas this BX-I in this blog post comes in at 45* on the PW to give you a frame of reference.
The BX-I Forged is now available 5-PW with optional #4 iron heads only or built with just about any custom shaft or grip. You may (click here) to order!
