Tourspecgolfer first posted a sneak picture of the new TC910 Forged iron and Fourteen Golf has made it official. The TC910 will be officially released on January 23rd, 2010. Unlike the S25C New TC550, this is an all new design and made from premium soft S20C steel for the purest feel. Fourteen has touted it as a forgiving players iron and like all Fourteen clubs, it features a very clean shape and graphics.
The new TC910 Forged has what Fourteen describes as a “Muscle Cavity” that is extra thickness between the toe and heel of the back cavity. This lowers CG and increases MOI plus enhances feel and forgiveness. The TC910 is compact with minimal offset and focuses on accuracy and control.
Fourteen has further adds to the heads stability and feel by placing extra emphasis on weight distribution. The sole features a rounded leading edge that makes it versatile in any lie. While the CG is lower, Fourteen has carefully placed it so that it will provide better players and faster swingers with optimal spin for attacking the green. The CG height actually increases as the irons get shorter and the CG Length from the hosel decreases. What this does is provide more spin and more stable trajectory in the short irons as more control. The new TC910 Forged has USGA Conforming grooves for 2010.
This is one beautiful looking iron and if it feels as soft as we have known Fourteen irons to be this will be a sure winner. I look foward to Tourspecgolfer getting a set or demo for review as he always does from Fourteen!
