ONOFF held an event at the KDX buidling in Tokyo for the media to preview some of their new clubs for 2010. As always they have their Red and Plus models, Red for the average golfer and Plus for the athlete golfer.
Two new drivers were on hand, the Red model dubbed the ONOFF XD. and the Plus model which was called the ONOFF XP. New fairway woods as well as utilities and a new ONOFF Red iron with tungsten weighted sole were also on display.
This will be a big year for ONOFF as Daiwa has made a big investment in pro golfer Shingo Katayama which has increased interest in ONOFF clubs and equipment. ONOFF is attempting to move into the higher equipment ranks a la Srixon and Tourstage and the signing of Katayama is the biggest name ever on their touring pro roster.
I’m looking forward to trying the new gear as they have always been solid performers. We’ll have them in the shop for pre order once we know the release dates.
