California Classic Putters
Some better and more clear info was just recently reported by Golf.com’s David Dusek when he spoke with Mr. Cameron himself in Shaska, Minn this week. Four new models will round out the entire series the Coronado, Monterey, Sonoma, and Del Mar.
A big part of the new release is its simplicity with classic and clean lines nothing to distracting or attention grabbing. Scotty said one of the most important things about the new California series was it’s flowing smooth lines so the eye doesnt get stuck as well as an ultra clean look with no sharp edges. These new putters also feature a special new shaft that has no steps and the decorative shaft label that is placed under the shaft to enhance the no distraction appearance.
A another very hot visual aspect is the ” Honey Dipped “ finish that has a gold tone to it which is created when the stainless steel heads are exposed to a special heat treatment process. Mr. Cameron also said that depending on the light the putters may appear a bit pink or purple.
The Coronado is a classic blade putter with two steps in the back flange area. It features a single alignment dot on the top and a round neck. The Monterey is a classic heel-toe weighted, Anser-style blade with a plumber’s neck and a single-line alignment aid. The Sonoma also features a plumber’s neck and a single alignment line, but it has a rounded back flange and slightly longer face. The Del Mar has a larger, circular back flange with a high toe area.
It sounds like a very clean putting experience with simple stamping, quality materials and classic designs. The Release date late Spetember. The Scotty Cameron California Classic Putters will retail for 299.00
They appear to be very classic and playable. No gimicks just high quality very playable putters. I am looking forward to seeing the real thing. Mr. Cameron seems to disregard change just for change. This is good. There is no problem selling this product.
Any for lefties?
