The NEW Miura Golf TC-201 Irons! Soon after Miura released their newest Muscle Back Irons, the Miura MB-101, now some brand new Cavity Back Irons. Miura comes with a new Cavity Back design which kind of reminds you of it’s previous model, the MB-5005, which also had cut outs on the back face. The obvious difference here is that the MB-5005 was a Muscle Back, and this new Miura Golf TC-201 iron is a Cavity Back!
The Miura Golf TC-201 is Miura’s newest release of their player’s cavity back. “TC” stands for “Tour Cavity.” The overall design is an evolution from their previous cavity back model CB-1008 which was Miura’s best selling player’s cavity back in their history. The cut outs seen in the Miura Golf TC-201 on the back design are intended to distribute the weights more towards the toe and heel side of the head to increase forgiveness. Also the thickness behind the hitting area is progressive where long irons are thinner with more discretionary weight from the cut outs relocated to the heel and toe for added forgiveness and stability against off centered hits. For shorter irons, the hitting area is thicker for added soft and dense Miura signature feel at impact while the cut out design still provides added forgiveness.
TSG is currently accepting pre-orders the Miura Golf TC-201 before anyone else. The expected release is early 2020 and while very little info is available, Tourspec Golf is accepting pre-orders to get your order on their list.
