TourSpecGolf is starting to preview Baldo Products, while we have sold them for a few years now we have never really highlighted them as we are now, Baldo was kind enough to send us samples to test and the we were pleased by what we see, not only are they producing some very cool and dark looking items but there is an overall design theme we are noticing that translates across all models, one I call “a rounded design”.
Last week we put the spotlight on the all new Baldo Brassy driving wood for the advanced player, today I’m showing off their sexy flagship forged cavity back iron the Prototype CB-11 Forged, ready for more pics and info? Follow the Jump to Read On…
A rounded design? Can you see what I’m saying? The shape is overall just more curvy with fewer sharp edges all around. Interestingly Baldo considers this their full scale competition cavity iron with a “somewhat” smallish head with a very soft feel. I can indeed vouch for it’s soft feel and semi compact head, and my on course opinion is that it’s curves are simply excellent for softer conditions or golfers with a steep impact that need that curved leading edge.
Minimal offset, a semi thick top line and a profile size in my opinion similar to the 2014 Titleist VG3 Forged iron and similar it’s forged of soft S20C. The lofts are not all that jacked either, the PW comes in at 46* It’s 100% satin finish providing almost no glare when standing over it. TSG has the Baldo CB-11 Prototype irons in the Pro Shop “Click Here” to check them out… Enjoy the rest of the pics!
