Baldo – Tourist Trophy – Evangelist Japan Products. It’s an interesting play on words none of which I think have been used before in golf and on that topic of new and interesting it’s been a long time since a dedicated driving wood besides the driver has been released, Introducing the Baldo BRASSY.
Brassy: 1881 Robert Forgan first wrote in The Golfers Handbook The “Brassy Spoon” is a recent invention and bids fair to be a useful one. Being furnished with a “brass-sole” it is stronger than an ordinary spoon, and may, therefore, be employed in a more difficult ground where the Cleek would otherwise be necessary.
It’s basically a small beastly driver with a 255cc head volume, square face, 210g head weight, 10g weight in the toe 4g in the heel to promote a fade as Baldo believes the player who would use this may have an inside out swing path.
The Baldo Brassy is made like a driver and priced like one as well, coming in head only retailing for about 550 with a Forged Titanium Cup Face it’s designed you to help crush balls down the center with it’s face depth that is twice the height of a normal 13.5 spoon. You can play this at any length they leave it to your preference, I would personally go for a full 45″ on this thing or just a hair shorter, good club if you have extra shaft pulls around. While we have not put it through it’s paces yet we do hope to soon but based on how it looks, it’s materials, and design specs it looks to be a club off the tee that will produce a reliable and steady shot which Baldo says will equal the distance of your current driver.
