In my opinion PRGR and Yamaha lead all brands globally when it comes to Technology and Innovation and it’s not difficult to see why, PRGR also known as Pro Gear is owned and operated by Yokohama Rubber Co. which has it’s hand in not only golf but automotive tires, and industrial products in a wide range of industries globally.
It’s a very good sign when brands issue multiple patents within a single product line for new technologies in the golf industry. Today let’s have a look at the new PRGR iD Nabla RS Utility Woods…
Quick breakdown on the materials: Stainless Steel Body with Rolled Maraging Steel Face in a nutshell. PRGR has been doing all it’s can to keep a low CG yet stabilize flight, other brands will just lift the CG and move it more forward but really that’s the easy way to doing things, Pro Gear uses optimal weight placement to help get ball up yet a medium Height CG to keep the Flight Stable.
Currently the top dog utility on TourSpecGolf is the Modart MA01H and not for it’s long distance or forgiving large face because it doesn’t have either really, it’s small & shallow when you look at it you think your gonna have a pop up shot but what really makes it champ is 2 things, Clean contact with turf + mid trajectory and that’s also a big part of this new RS series as on course testing has shown me that it’s not only making great clean contact from all sorts of lie but it also get’s up easier than most without the ballooning. I can say it’s better than most in this department.
Truth is I don’t know where this fit’s into the PRGR line up, will PRGR create an RS Black Series that’s even more player than these, I hope they would but check this out, the new RS Hybrid has a 6* OPEN FACE ANGLE!! way to go Pro Gear! The most common issue with easy to hit hybrids is that player hook or pull them and PRGR has taken this very seriously. Consider this issue taken care of, unless you are over powering the shaft but if you use a shaft you can hit well combined with the 6* open face you should be good.
Now kick back enjoy the rest of the pics and if you need one of these please don’t forget to check out TourSpecGolf’s product listing by “Clicking Here”
