TourStage X-Drive 705 Drivers
Are you guy’s getting tired of the many TourStage releases we have been posting? Well sit down for a bit more as I force feed the last and in my opinion most exciting release of the new 705 series to you.
The new X-Drive 705 will be available November 5th in two forms, the Type 415cc & Type 455cc. TourStage is pushing the envelope once again this time by introducing a new variant of KS100 titanium called KS100 Ti, Ca-Ti. The new Ca-Ti allows TourStage who already happens to have the thinnest crowns to reduce it by a further 0.35mm.
The X-Drive 705 also uses new production techniques of chemical milling to build up the heel and toe areas on the face making them larger and more forgiving. By chemical milling a portion of the body to heal it increases ACTUAL performance in that area. Many golf companies make the face area bigger to give the visual and mental appearance of a more forgiving driver when in reality its just bigger and not better.
TourStage drivers like many high end Japanese brands feature unique designs behind the face impact zone. TourStage has been enhancing and tweaking their design over the years to create what they believe is their best face design technology yet. Not only is this used to make their drivers more forgiving but it also aid’s in improving distance and reducing spin rates.
The new X-Drive 705 Type 415 and Type 455 are available with 3 standard shaft options. The Tour ADB11-01w by graphite design, I consider this the stock shaft. The new Tour AD DJ-6 which is a 66g 3.1 torque variant of the DI-6 and last the hot new Diamana ‘ahina shaft 60.
oh yeah!…… TS have returned to their classy looking roots.
sign me up.
This is s a lot of TS info to swallow.
@Corky:
Yes, i agree. They’ve been getting a bit carried away with the edgy look in the past years.
At the address position, does it look bigger than the standard 703?
