PRGR announced many new models today with a new GOLD / RED concept, Gold is non-conforming while RED is conforming besides that some specs vary such as face angle or lofts and swing weight The new Egg/Super Egg Driver is 460cc’s the conforming version has a 2* open face angle while the non conforming 1*, remember this is PRGR they like open faces and design their heads to produce a straight neutral launch these are not draw bias or fade bias even considering the open face angle. Here’s a big deal, a large OEM using DAT55G from Japan making me can’t wait to hit this one! Stay tuned for more info! Will be available in early October. Follow the Jump to read the rest of the line up.
Pretty much everyone on TSG agree’s the 2nd Gen Egg reigns supreme so we got lucky that PRGR is releasing something very similar. Designed to produce a high launch with low spin and made with a carbon fiber reinforced plastic crown. PRGR has a patent pending on the new composite head structure and the bridge weight structure within the head. Will be available in 15/18/20 with an early September release date.
Another new release is the new Egg UT which is a new redesign of Egg i+, PRGR has pushed even more weight back for more powerful and stronger shots to produce a higher launch with low spin. They also incorporated a new custom 455 stainless material in the face so when the ball makes impact there is even more flex . Coming early September and available in 19/21/23/25* lofts.
Another Gold version in the line up which is interesting as few brands offer non conforming irons now days and no it’s not the grooves this time it’s the COR of the face and with a new C300 maraging steel the rebound is up 1.9mm for a COR over 0.83. Super strong lofts with a 40* PW make these a high launching, forgiving, long distance iron. Gold version is released early October.
The Red version below is conforming and uses a different form of Stainless Steel in the face also the weight is less pronounced while the gold version it extends deeper and longer. Red version is available early September.
i have my eyes on that Egg i+ hybrid
