PING i15 Driver & Irons Exposed!
– The purpose of releasing a G15/i15 driver is that Ping will be able to cater in a better manner to a wider range of players by giving both exactly what they are looking for. In the G15 lineup its split between the player and the game improvement player. Now each line is designed and will cater to the exact needs and launch conditions of their particular group.
– G15 Driver: By looking at the photos we can tell this driver is a fan of MOI! It seems to be the chunkier of the two siblings and looks to be a cannon off the tee to say the least. Very long breadth from front to back and should be extremely forgiving on miss-hits while still providing a great amount of distance off the tee.
– i15 Driver: This driver couldn’t look any hotter. I strongly believe it should be code named “The Fonz” because it really can’t get much cooler than this! This driver looks to have a dark black coating around the head and throughout the face. Another big difference is the extended hosel length. Speculation says that their might be adjustability from the factory to be able to bend this driver to the needs of the player. This option would be great for the tall and shorter player who could benefit from a lie angle that suits their needs off the tee. Also the player that REALLY wants their driver open can get just that. And with the incredible amount of accuracy that PING provides, you’ll know that you will get exactly what you order. Furthermore this driver can’t just be about control. With it’s sister driver the V2 Rapture tearing up the charts with its ridiculous amount of ball speed, you would have to assume that the i15 will be bringing the heat too. Word is that this driver will absolutely give the V2 Rapture a run for its money in terms of ball speed. Buckle Up Folks!

Ping i15 Irons Information & Images
– just like the driver series you should expect to see the iron lineup drop around the 10th of August.
– The photos courtesy of GolfWrx show some great detail of these irons but there is still a lot unknown about this iron set. The first thing you’ll notice is the busy badge on the back.
– With the i15 set being geared more towards the player a lot of people anticipated a graduated set. Meaning that we were hoping to see less offset starting from 3 iron all the way through pitching wedge. Without specs or measurements you can’t really tell but it does seem to be reduced in these photos.
– I think with the amount of feedback we’ve received from our customers Ping probably did some research in the graduated set idea so that everyone could get their desired high ball flight from the long irons but would still be able to flight the shorter irons to their liking.
– There is a noticeable Tungsten plug in the toe just like in the Rapture V2 series. We’re excited to give this a try and see how it effects the ball flight in comparison to its predecessor the i10.
– There looks to be two new grip options that look to provide a LOT of traction, hopefully they won’t be too aggressive and be very abrasive on the hands.
– Besides this we’re still a bit in the dark like the rest of the public with what exactly we should expect from this Ping i15 iron series.
